The Israeli employer is responsible for applying for a valid work permit on your behalf as an Indian citizen travelling to Israel on a work visa. Here is all the information you need to know.
The Israeli employer needs to first apply for a work permit application at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor or MOITAL.
Upon approval from MOITAL, the employer needs to seek approval from the Ministry of Interior in Israel before extending any employment contract to a foreign national.
To seek this approval, the employer needs to prove their efforts undertaken to fill up the required position with Israeli citizens first. This is mandatory to prove the need for a foreign national with the required qualifications to come and work in Israel.
The employer also needs to submit a list of documents for the work permit application for the Indian employee, and the list includes-
Valid employment contract
Sufficient proof of the employee’s qualifications and specialisations
Financial statements of the company
Other company documents, as requested
Lastly, the employer needs to make the payment for the work permit application fees to process the application for final approval.
